A casual photo taken at home can include coordinates accurate enough to reveal the property.
Remove EXIF before sharing
Delete camera details and location coordinates while keeping the original compressed image pixels.
Files never leave your device — processed 100% in your browser. Free, no sign-up.
They stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
An EXIF remover deletes Exchangeable Image File Format tags embedded by cameras and phones. EXIF is useful for sorting and editing because it records exposure, focal length, orientation, capture time, camera model, and sometimes the precise GPS location. The information is not normally visible in the photo, but anyone who receives the original file may be able to inspect it.
This EXIF remover reads those tags locally and explains them before cleanup. It then removes JPEG APP1 EXIF data and other recognized descriptive segments without recompressing the photograph. PNG and WebP use different chunk systems, so their metadata containers are handled separately. You receive a new file and keep the original untouched. The process is free, requires no login, and sends zero file bytes to a server.
The cleaner removes EXIF and adjacent descriptive blocks that commonly reveal camera, location, and editing history.

Model, lens, and serial-related tags can tie a photo to a specific device or workflow.
Date and timezone fields can expose routines, travel timing, or when an event occurred.
Bloggers and sellers can share high-quality images without attaching private technical details.
Choose JPEG, PNG, WebP, TIFF, or supported HEIC images from your device.

Download a losslessly cleaned copy for formats that support safe local rewriting.
Yes. It is free for batches of up to 20 photos, each no larger than 50 MB. Downloads are not watermarked, and there is no account, trial period, or hidden subscription.
No. Your browser opens the selected file and the cleanup code runs on your device. The original photo is never placed in an HTTP request, and the site does not provide an upload route or storage service.
JPEG has the broadest EXIF read and removal support. PNG and WebP metadata chunks are also stripped. TIFF and HEIC can often be inspected, but lossless removal is offered only when the format can be rewritten safely in the browser.
Yes for iPhone photos stored or exported as JPEG. That includes common GPS, date, orientation, camera, and software tags. HEIC support varies by file structure and browser, so the tool reports whether removal is actually available.
No. For supported images, the compressed pixel stream is copied without JPEG recompression or resizing. Removing EXIF changes descriptive segments around the image data, not the visible pixels themselves.
Yes. Add up to 20 photos, inspect each result, and clean them together. Multiple outputs are added to a ZIP in the browser so you do not have to trigger many individual downloads.
