Deliver neutral assets
Remove workstation names, creator tags, and internal software history from client-ready files.
Strip hidden details, not quality
See the invisible information attached to a file, then remove it in one local pass.
Files never leave your device — processed 100% in your browser. Free, no sign-up.
They stay on this device. Nothing is uploaded.
A metadata stripper removes machine-readable labels stored alongside the content of a file. These labels make files easier to catalog and edit, but they can also reveal who created a file, which device produced it, where a picture was taken, and what software last changed it. The data is normally invisible in a gallery or document viewer, so it is easy to share without noticing.
Our metadata stripper opens supported files inside the browser and maps the hidden fields before making any changes. You can review camera settings, GPS coordinates, timestamps, creator information, software tags, and raw fields. When you continue, the tool rewrites removable metadata containers rather than uploading the original. That makes it practical for sensitive client assets, unpublished work, and personal photographs. Because the operation is local, closing the tab removes the temporary browser state and no server-side copy exists.
Different file formats use different containers; the stripper removes only containers that can be rewritten safely in the browser.

Embedded labels can connect files produced by the same camera, editor, or workflow.
Creation and modification dates can disclose a schedule or an unpublished production timeline.
Recipients usually need the visible content, not the file’s technical and editorial history.

Download losslessly rewritten files or a ZIP when several files finish successfully.
Yes. The browser tool is free for batches of up to 20 files and does not require registration. A 50 MB per-file ceiling prevents large files from exhausting browser memory. There are no credits, watermarks, or locked download buttons.
No. The page downloads its code, then reads files from the browser’s local file API. There is no network request containing your file. You can open the page, disconnect from the internet, and continue processing supported formats.
JPEG, PNG, WebP, and PDF have active removal support. Common EXIF fields can also be read from TIFF and some HEIC files, but safe rewriting depends on the format and browser. The result panel identifies unsupported files before offering a download.
It strips standard metadata from iPhone photos saved as JPEG, including location and capture information. HEIC files are inspected on a best-effort basis. For a HEIC that cannot be rewritten losslessly, export a JPEG copy on the phone and process that copy.
No for supported JPEG, PNG, and WebP files. The cleaner edits metadata segments or chunks directly and copies the compressed image payload unchanged. It does not resize, re-encode, sharpen, or alter color pixels.
Yes. Select up to 20 files. The tool reports metadata and cleanup status per item, then uses a client-side ZIP library for multiple downloads. The ZIP is assembled in memory on your device and is never uploaded.
